For the past ten years, Dr. Richard Panico’s Institute has been using Yoga based mind-body interventions for chronic complex illness. Currently, they are seeing over 1,000 patients a month.
Out of this work, Dr. Panico has become deeply interested in the question:
“How do Yoga practices impact our emotional world?”
In this workshop, Dr.Panico thoroughly covers the western scientific view of emotions as well as the Yogic concepts of emotion.
In addition, he clarifies how emotions can be regulated through the practice of Yoga.
Dr. Panico is Medical Director of the Athens Regional Mind Body Institute, assistant clinical professor of psychiatry and behavioral medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, and a Yoga teacher since 1968.
